This is fantastic news! Congratulations to Mrs. Gloria Sarkodie, a mental health nurse, and a MUG alum for winning the Oxygen Africa Health Forum Heroes (Community Impact 2023) Award. It is inspiring to see how Gloria Sarkodie has made a real impact on her community, especially during these difficult times.
Her foundation, Glodocs Psychosocial Rehabilitation Day Centre, is a testament to her dedication to providing patient-centered physical and psychosocial services to individuals and groups. It is heartwarming to hear how Gloria mobilized a team of nurses and volunteers to support and care for mentally disabled patients during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Her hard work and dedication continue to be recognized by receiving numerous awards, including the Daisy Award, MTN Hero of Change, GIZ Prevention is Better than Cure project, and the Health Heroes Award, which is an incredible achievement.
