FACULTY OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION

Welcome to the Faculty of Business Administration (FBA) at the Methodist University Ghana. We are proud to be one of the most esteemed and highly regarded faculties in Ghana and for that matter in private universities. It was the only faculty created at the Methodist University College Ghana’s (MUCG) inception in 2000. Our programmes were affiliated to University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) from its establishment until August 2022 when Methodist University Ghana (MUG) became an autonomous institution.

Our campuses are strategically positioned in the heart of dynamic urban environments, in Dansoman-Accra, Tema, and Wenchi, offering a perfect blend of accessibility and serenity for academic pursuits. The campuses can boast of congenial residential facilities, secured parking space, greenery, and study shelters which students enjoy.

At the FBA, we have a variety of sub-degree, undergraduate, and postgraduate programmes [our programmes] which are available on all three campuses. A blended approach (face-to-face and online) is used in delivering lectures by friendly and dedicated faculty members. The faculty encourages continuous education and professional development through short courses which are offered online and face-to-face. The short courses are sometimes tailor-made to meet the capacity development required by individuals, institutions and industry [short courses]. We also develop customised short courses to suit the needs of our clients.

We are flexible in delivery of our programmes to suit both school candidates and mature students. Our programmes are run during the day, (referred to as Day Session) for typical school candidates.  We also have a combined evening and weekend session taught on Thursday evenings (online) and Friday evenings and Saturday mornings for workers and others who may not be available for day programmes. Our administrative staff are trained to always seek the satisfaction of our students and prospective students. Teaching and learning are promoted through research and other means of knowledge advancement and practical application to social, cultural, economic, scientific, and technological problems. We provide our students with exceptional teaching and comprehensive support systems and encourage them to approach learning and life issues with a critical mindset, ethical and human values. All our diploma and degree students take a core course in entrepreneurship while the postgraduate students are encouraged to take an elective course in entrepreneurship.  Thus, spirit of entrepreneurship, innovation, creativity, and the importance of hard work is inculcated into our students.
