The Methodist University Ghana held a grand investiture ceremony yesterday to mark the formal appointment of its new Vice-Chancellor, Professor William Baah-Boateng. The ceremony, held at the Wesley Towers, was attended by dignitaries from the academic community, government officials, and other stakeholders.
In his inaugural address, Professor Baah-Boateng expressed his gratitude to the University Council and the entire Methodist University community for entrusting him with the responsibility of leading the institution. He pledged to uphold the values of academic excellence, innovation, and integrity that the University stands for.
The ceremony was chaired by the Chancellor of the University, Most Reverend Professor Johnson Asamoah-Gyadu, who formally conferred the appointment on Professor Baah-Boateng. The new Vice Chancellor was presented with the symbols of office and delivered his inaugural lecture, outlining his vision for the University’s future.
Professor Baah-Boateng’s appointment is expected to bring a new era of growth and development to the University, building on the foundation laid by his predecessors.
