MUG MANAGEMENT MEETS WITH ALUMNI

The newly appointed Vice Chancellor of Methodist University Ghana, Professor William Baah-Boateng, the Pro Vice-Chancellor, Rev. Prof. Daniel Bruce and the Registrar, Mr. Nii Adotei Abrahams met the alumni of the school to discuss ways to strengthen the university’s relationships with its alumni and explore opportunities for collaboration.

The meeting was also held to inform the alumni of the activities slated for the 25th Anniversary Celebrations of the school and also solicit their views and contributions towards the upcoming events.

Professor Baah-Boateng emphasized the importance of alumni engagement in the university’s growth and development. “One of the things that I intend to do is to reach out to the alumni and get them to come and support,” he said. He recounted his experience from his time at the Harvard University and accentuated how contributions from alumni help the university.

The Dean of Student Affairs, Mr. Robert Mensah took the alumni through the list of activities lined up for the 25th Anniversary Celebration. He indicated the events undertaken so far and informed them of the upcoming ones. He further mentioned plans for an Alumni homecoming scheduled for Thursday September 25, 2025 to Saturday, September 27, 2025.

The alumni offered valuable feedback, suggestions and also expressed their concerns. The concerns raised by the alumni were addressed by the registrar who assured them that the management of the school was doing everything possible to improve things in the school.

The Pro Vice-Chancellor, Rev. Prof. Bruce gave the closing remarks where he admonished the alumni to let go of any issues they may have had during their time in the school. He also stated that the school was making improvements so as to make things easier for students. 

The meeting ended with a renewed sense of partnership and enthusiasm, setting the stage for fruitful collaborations between the university and its alumni.
