Welcome to the Methodist University Ghana! As a fresh or continuing student, you are a vital member of our campus community. We are thrilled that you have joined us for one of the most significant experiences of your life as you begin your studies in this University. You are joining a University community that has a seamless research and educational portfolio.
I use this opportunity to congratulate all freshmen on your admission to the Methodist University Ghana (MUG). Let me emphasize that, this is one of the best private Universities in the country. It is an outstanding University with so much to offer. Take time to explore and embrace the rich opportunities presented to you. From Lectures to extraordinary campus events and athletic competitions, there is something here for everyone! We are looking forward to all the viewpoints, experiences, and ideas you will share with our community.
The Dean of Student Affairs Office is committed to providing a critical support structure for enriching the overall student experience through advocating for the needs of all students, exposing you to a world of career opportunities, developing your spiritual and moral character, mentoring and counseling you and supporting you in achieving both personal and career growth. We are also in charge of overseeing to the student grievance process and the non-academic student discipline system, and supports in the creation of extracurricular programmes.
The Office of the Dean of Students Affairs collaborates with the Students’ Representative Council (SRC), Graduate Students Association (GRASAG) and other student organizations in order to effectively carry out this responsibility.
I urge you to familiarize yourselves with the rules and regulations enshrined in the students’ handbook which can be found on the University’s website. I also encourage you to actively participate in student activities, and join any of the student groups and associations on campus.
