School Of Research And Graduate Studies And Professional Development

Message from the Dean

It is with great pleasure that I extend a warm welcome to our esteemed students, distinguished faculty members, and valued stakeholders. The School of Research, Graduate Studies, and Professional Development (SRGSPD) at the Methodist University of Ghana stands as a beacon of academic excellence, fostering advanced learning and scholarly pursuits across a diverse range of specialized disciplines. Established in 2023, our School serves as a central rallying hub, consolidating the University’s graduate programmes and professional certifications that were previously domiciled in various departments and faculties.

Our comprehensive suite of programmes, rigorously accredited by the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC), includes Master’s degrees in Public Policy and Governance, Education Assessment & Evaluation, Education Management and Practice, Education Leadership and Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Corporate Strategy, and Business Administration with many options. We also take immense pride in offering a prestigious Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) programme in Education.

Our institution is committed to fostering a dynamic and intellectually stimulating environment, where scholars and professionals can explore the frontiers of knowledge, engage in cutting-edge research, and contribute to the advancement of their respective fields. Under the visionary leadership of the Dean of SRGSPD and esteemed Faculty Deans, we cultivate an environment where intellectual curiosity thrives, diversity flourishes, and inclusivity opens minds, thus exemplifying MUG’s spirit of academic excellence, morality, and service. We are dedicated to providing students with a top-tier graduate education that nurtures these values – an educational experience that transforms lives.

Our desire to cultivate great minds in a serene research environment informed the creation of the Research Commons, where our students have unhindered digital access, share and discuss research with fellow students and faculty, network with their peers and colleagues, and enjoy technology-supported presentation space. I welcome all our graduate students to visit the Research Commons, located on the South wing 3rd floor of the Faculty Building, adjacent to the university library.

We welcome prospective students. Connect with us today and take the first step towards an exceptional educational experience at the Methodist University of Ghana.
