
Dr. Mrs. Susan D. D. Berdie holds a doctorate in education from the University of Sussex, UK and a Master of Arts in Lifelong Learning from the Institute of Education, University of London, UK. Dr. Berdie has been teaching in higher education since 2017 after a rich experience in the non-formal education sector of the Ministry of Education. She is currently a senior lecturer in education at the Faculty of Education and Entrepreneurship of the Methodist University Ghana, Dansoman where she is the acting Head of the Educational Studies Department. Dr Berdie was awarded the Dean’s award for excellence in teaching, research and service in 2020. She started her higher education teaching experience as a tutor at the University of Education, Winneba’s Institute of Distance and E-Learning (IDeL), Kasoa Centre before moving to her current university. Susan teachers School-Community Relations, and Instructional Leadership and Supervision. She has coordinated MEd. students’ dissertation till 2022 and been supervising MEd., MPhil., and PhD. student dissertation writing. Her research interests are in community participation in education, instructional leadership and supervision, non-formal education, adult literacy and vocational education.
