Paul Quaisie Eleke-Aboagye, PhD is the Acting Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration (FBA). PQ Eleke-Aboagye is a Senior Lecturer and also the substantive Head of the Department of Accounting and Finance. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Management Studies from University of South Africa, a Postgraduate Certificate in Business Research Methods from Heriot-Watt University, Scotland, and both an MBA (Finance) and a B.Sc. (Chemistry) from the University of Ghana. He is fellow of the Institute of Professional Financial Managers (FIPFM), with a two-year of experience as a Quality Control Officer with Letap Pharmaceutical Ltd.
Over the past 20 years of working with MUG, PQ Eleke-Aboagye performed various administrative roles. These are, Director of Tema Campus, Vice-Dean of Faculty of Business Administration, and acted as Dean for the same faculty a couple of times. He also happened to be the first Head of the Banking and Finance Department, Coordinator of Banking and Finance Unit, and the first Examinations Officer for the Faculty of Business Administration. At the University Council level, PQ Eleke-Aboagye served as the representative of Senior Members. His roles and membership of several boards and committees of MUG has given him the opportunity to become fully acquainted with the dynamics of university administration.
As a pioneer member of the Faculty of Business Administration, he has been providing mentorship and leadership at both FBA and the university in general. Suffice it to add that he mentored some faculty members from their undergraduate and National Service days into Senior Membership of the prestigious Methodist University Ghana. PQ Eleke-Aboagye is committed to a cordial working relationship with all staff, from the lowest rank to the top; he is also poised to bring to bear the experiences obtained over the years to ensure that the vision and mission of MUG are achieved.
His research interests include microcredit/microfinance, SMEs/MSEs, behavioral finance, agribusiness, financial markets, and development finance. He has co-authored study manuals (for undergraduate and postgraduate students) and scholarly articles and made presentations at international conferences.
