Overview
The Bachelor of Science in Public Health Nursing (BSC Public Health Nursing) is an undergraduate program designed to combine nursing with public health principles, focusing on promoting and protecting the health of populations. The curriculum covers key areas such as epidemiology, biostatistics, environmental health, and health policy, alongside core nursing sciences like patient assessment, diagnosis, and community-based care.
Students are trained in public health nursing interventions, including disease prevention, health promotion, and case management, with a strong emphasis on addressing the health needs of underserved communities. The program also includes fieldwork or practicums, allowing students to gain hands-on experience in community health settings.
Graduates are equipped with skills in critical thinking, collaboration, and cultural competency, preparing them for careers as public health nurses, community health coordinators, health educators, and advocates. They may work in government agencies, non-profits, schools, or community health centers.
