Methodist University Ghana has undergone the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission’s (GTEC) 5-year cyclical institutional review, conducted as part of GTEC’s mandate to ensure quality and uphold standards in tertiary education.
The review, which brings together a high-powered delegation from GTEC, was aimed at assessing the overall performance, governance, academic standards, infrastructure and financial health of the University over the past five years.
Opening the exercise, the Vice-Chancellor of Methodist University Ghana, Prof. William Baah-Boateng, presented the State of the University.
Prof. Baah-Boateng highlighted significant strides made by the University in the areas of academic expansion, research output, staff development, infrastructural growth and student enrollment. He noted that despite economic challenges, the University has remained resilient and committed to its mission of providing holistic, quality and excellent education grounded in Christian values.
He also outlined the University’s Strategic Plan, focusing on program diversification, and strengthening industry and international partnerships.
