MUG VC meets staff of Tema campus and some stakeholders 

The Vice-Chancellor of the Methodist University Ghana, Professor Philip Ebow Bondzi-Simpson has embarked on a familiarization tour of the University’s Tema Campus to formally introduced himself and interact with staff, some Alumni, officials of the Methodist Day Secondary School, MEDASS, and the District Police Command, Community 11, Tema on Tuesday, January 24, 2023.

At the Tema Campus, the Director for the University’s Tema Campus Mr. Atta Twumasi Dabone expressed his gratitude to the VC for his visit and outlined some challenges of the Tema Campus, and handed over a report on the status of the Campus to the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Philip Ebow Bondzi-Simpson.

At Tema Methodist Day Secondary Senior High School, Prof. Bondzi-Simpson assured the Headmistress of the university’s continuous cooperation, mentorship, and career guidance programme. He took the opportunity to inspect some on-going projects.

At the District Police Command, Prof. Philip Ebow Bondzi-Simpson interacted with the District Police Commander, DSP George Kwarteng who congratulated him on his appointment. .  He assured him of a continuous lasting relationship with the university. Prof. Bondzi-Sampson was appreciative of the welcome gesture and assured the District Police Command of the University’s willingness to continue to be law-abiding and help the police to maintain peace and order in the District.

The Tema 2013 alumni, also interacted with the Vice Chancellor and took the opportunity to officially informed him about their tenth-anniversary celebration. They also informed him that, they will want to partner with the university for a project. 

In his remarks, Prof. Bondzi-Simpson thanked Alumni and suggested some beneficial issues to them for consideration.

He told them of MUG’s readiness to partner with Alumni to make MUG a household name in the country.

During staff interaction, Prof. Bondzi-Simpson encouraged staff to live out the values of the University and asked them to eschew values that will not make them productive.  

He called staff to exhibit excellence in their endeavours and render selfless quality service.

Prof. was accompanied by the Pro Vice-Chancellor, Very Rev. Professor John David Kwamena Ekem, his Secretary and personal assistant, Mrs. Esther Karikari Baidoo, and the Acting Director, Public Affairs, Ms. Eunice Tweneboah -Kodua, APR.
