Methodist University Ghana Announces New Council

We are excited to announce the constitution of a new Council for Methodist University Ghana, following the grant of Charter and the promulgation of new Statutes. The new Council, chaired by Her Ladyship Professor Henrietta J.A.N. Mensah-Bonsu (JSC), was sworn into office on December 13, 2024. They will serve a three-year term from December 1, 2024, to November 30, 2027.

Meet the Council Members:

  • Rev. Prof. Daniel Y. Bruce – Acting Vice Chancellor/Member

  • Dr. Kwame Antwi-Bosiako – Methodist Church Representative

  • Mr. Kwasi Attah-Antwi – Methodist Church Representative

  • Very Rev. Mrs. Naana Esi Dannyame – Methodist Church Representative

  • Dr. Frank Boateng – Methodist Church Representative

  • Mr. Henry Bernard Atsu Mawusi – GTEC Representative

  • Mrs. Constance Amofa – CHASS Representative

  • Mr. Frank Osei-Gyimah – Convocation Representative

  • Mrs. Barbara Nana Fosuwah Opoku – Convocation Representative

  • Mr. Johnson Fynn – Junior/Senior Staff Representative

During the swearing-in ceremony, Her Ladyship Justice Prof. Mensah-Bonsu emphasized that this new Council marks the beginning of a new chapter for the University. She highlighted that each member was chosen for their expertise and their potential to elevate the University’s image. She encouraged members to work diligently and bring their skills to bear, ensuring the Council provides the necessary direction to uphold the University’s motto of Excellence, Morality, Service.
