Council has appointed Nii Adotei Abrahams as Registrar of MUG for a four year term with effect from November 1, 2024 to October 31, 2028.
Prior to his appointment, Nii Adotei Abrahams worked as Junior Assistant/Assistant Registrar, University for Development Studies (UDS), Tamale, from 1994 to 2001, Assistant Secretary, Senior Assistant Secretary and Head of Corporate Affairs, National Council for Tertiary Education (NCTE), now Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC), from 2001 to 2020 and Registrar, Ghana Communication Technology University (GCTU), from August, 2020 to August, 2022.
Nii Adotei Abrahams is an Industrial and Organizational Psychologist with special interest in Human Resource Management. He attended the Presbyterian Boys Secondary School (PRESEC), Legon, for his secondary education (1978 to 1985) and the University of Ghana for both his undergraduate and postgraduate qualifications. He holds the Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology and Sociology (1990) and the Master of Arts degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology (1992). He is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Human Resource Management (CIHRM).
Nii Adotei Abrahams has over 30 years of experience in university and higher/tertiary education administration and management and has amassed a wealth of knowledge as a higher/tertiary education administrator. He has served on several Boards and Committees in various capacities and has participated in the development of policies for several tertiary education institutions.
Nii Adotei is an ardent lover of football, hockey, Formula One racing and all genre of music. He is a proud ODADEE (1983 Year group) and a true VANDAL.
